Clarins x The Kooples Lip Comfort Oil

These look pretty darned scary in the tube – but they actually go on sheer and chic.

Clarins Lip Comfort Oil, of course, is the oil which really pioneered this category of lip care. The clue's in the name: 'Comfort'. They feature plant oils (notably hazelnut and jojoba), blends of which have been subtly tweaked for the light and dark offerings here. They are, as Clarins succinctly put it, 'Where the shine of a gloss meets the comfort of an oil.'

These act a little like 'lip switchers', gliding on sheer either over naked lips or layered over a colour. (It's fun to play.) Dark Stone – a deep shade which is enriched with golden particles – features organic argan oil alongside the original blend. (It truly doesn't go on black; these lip oils feature 'smart pigments' which adapt with the natural pH of the lips, delivering a subtly different colour on everyone.) Light Stone is a delicate milky pink, by contrast - almost see-thru when actually on the lips.

So: will you see the light – or go over to the dark side? Don't dither too long, because these are limited editions and won't hang around for long.
