We don’t often write about lip balms at this time of year – now the central heating has (FINALLY) been turned off, and the drying winds have subsided.

But this feels, somehow, summery – lighterweight than many balms (some winter-perfect balms can feel almost claustrophobic in warmer weather, as they’re so waxy). But it’s still deeply soothing and moisturising. (Living up to the promise of its name.)

Just-launched by Clarins, it’s got a delicious texture that melts right into lips. It features a plant ingredient called blue lotus wax, which they discovered is great for lips. They ran some trials of their own and 98% found their cracked, chapped lips were repaired, 95% commented that lips felt nourished, and 92% said lips felt smoother.
