Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips

Today’s the day. Expect queues at Fenwick counters at Bond Street, Brent Cross, Newcastle (and Bentalls Kingston), where Hot Lips are exclusive for three days: thanks to our lovely friend Charlotte’s social media activity, anticipation has been mounting for the unveiling of this new collection of lipsticks, in 16 truly fab shades – with four bestselling favourites, plus 12 new shades. To mark the unveiling, there are some fab acitivities, with a ‘selfie station’, and even a competition to win the whole collection.

The shades have all been ‘inspired’ by Charlotte’s celeb friends – think: Miranda Kerr, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Kate Bosworth, Laura Bailey, Cindy Crawford, Helena Bonham-Carter and so on… To us, that’s kinda the least interesting thing about Hot Lips.

We’re interested in the rich, comfortable, intense colour (which can nevertheless be lightly patted in as a great ‘stain’).

And we’re especially interested in the fact that for the first two months after launch, Charlotte will donate £1 from the sale of each lipstick to the really great charity Women for Women International, which helps to empower women around the world.

Now, that really does make us smile.
