Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner

We think we’ve probably reached ‘peak acid’. For the past few years, it’s been all about using myriad acids – malic, lactic, glycolic, citric… There’s been a sort of ‘more is more’ frenzy, frankly, as we all seek a ‘glow’.

We’re all for glow. But the skin’s barrier function is so, so important, and overdoing the acids can impact on that. So we’re happy to welcome Charlotte Tilbury’s latest skincare creation, which makes a specific point of NOT being acid-based and yet – as we can attest, from trying it over a few weeks – does still really enhance radiance.

Instead of deploying a raft of acids, Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner is powered by peptides, hyaluronic acid (which is moisturising, not stripping), niacinamide, together with a gently exfoliating prickly pear extract. (NB It’s Leaping Bunny-certified.)

Used after cleansing (or as a morning cleanse in its own right, which we’re enjoying), it sweeps away gunk and preps skin perfectly for the next step, leaving it smooth and – yes, glow-y.

Proving that sometimes, less can be more.
