Fab Find of the Week: Chantecaille Summer Make up collection
Here’s a slice of heaven if you love exquisite summer cosmetics and – these two don't often come in the same sentence – Asian elephants. The link? Well, Chantecaille has just released their Limited Edition capsule collection and, as with every launch, the company is partnering with an environmental cause, in this case Elephant Family.
Every sale of Lip Veil, Chantecaille’s luscious summer lippy, will support Elephant Family, the charity founded by author and adventurer Mark Shand and now led from London by Ruth Powys, now a close friend of the Chantecaille family. (Another Elephant Family campaigner was someone that Sarah, formerly an environmental reporter, met 30 years ago in Thailand.)
The charity’s main aim is to protect the migratory pathways of these gentle giants, creating safe corridors so both elephants and humans can co-exist without conflict.
Semi-sheer Lip Veil is the creamiest formula you can imagine, due to organic baobab oil, wild mango butter and argan oil. The colours are the essence of a sunny day: vibrant coral Frangipane, warm rose Pink Lotus warm rose and watermelon pink Mandevilla.
Please do also look at Real Bronze, Chantecaille’s truly amazing bronzer, now a permanent item of the collection in two shades – golden bronze Sirena and cocoa bronze Goa. Thing is that Real Bronze looks like powder in the compact, but once you brush it on the feather-light gel-powder formula disappears, leaving glowing, almost flawless skin. Finally, Aqua Blush, a perfect gel blush in the prettiest bonbon-like pot, which gives a sheer, just-been-kissed flush.
