In its gorgeous beige Chanel compact, this is much more than a 'no-make-up make-up' palette – but nevertheless delivers really subtle, smooth shading for a truly polished look. We love the Les Beiges collection – blushers, foundations, and now this superb quintet of shades – Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette– which will see us happily through summer (when a smoky eye is pretty much out of the question).

Suitable for literally every skintone, the shades are a light beige (which can be used from brow to lash-line), a satin pearly pink (for brow-bone and inner corner of the lids), classic matte brown (think: socket), and two darker shades – satin-y matte black and matte taupe – to add definition at the lashes. (The colours are all so good, you'll probably wear the whole lot down to the metal.)

Plus: the palette also features two teeny applicators (a brush and a sponge) – which slightly make us wish that all make-up brands would do a bit of research as to whether it's worth devoting palette-space to these, since nobody we've ever known uses them. We certainly don't, preferring the more professional, long-handled options.

But frankly, for a 'weekend' look these textures are so silky-satiny you could happily smooth on with a finger, for some instant shading – and instant, polished prettiness.
