Caudalie Vinopure

It fascinates us that while almost half of applicants to become Beauty Bible testers self-diagnose themselves as having ‘combination skin’, there are lamentably few products which set out to target this problem.

Enter Vinopure, a trio of skincare innovations from the much-loved, multi-award-winning French name, which has its roots (literally) in a vineyard outside Bordeaux.

High in naturals, Vinopure is formulated for combination-to-oily skintypes, specifically targeting blemishes with three products that are in the upper 90% natural (that’s newsworthy in itself), and suitable for sensitive skins. Also notable: while pricier than the high street, it’s not outrageously expensive.

The three new additions to Caudalie’s line are: The Clear Skin Purifying Toner, which (unlike many) doesn't strip skin as you sweep it over face, neck and décolletage to clean away any surface debris and ‘prime’ skin for the other products.

The Blemish Control Infusion Serum (98% natural) gently exfoliates and unclogs pores, helping to maintain a healthy moisture balance with hyaluronic acid and rosewater. (Because while oily skins don’t need more oil, they do need moisture.)

The star of the range, though, as far as we’re concerned, is The Skin Perfecting Mattifying Fluid (97% natural ingredients): it immediately mattifies skin, regular shine with vitamin B3 and organic rosewater. It’s a really great base for make-up, reports the oily-skinned family member who put the products through their paces – though you can also use it at night.

The perfect combination for wannabe-more-perfect combination skins.
