OK, it's official. Covent Garden is currently one of the grooviest shopping destinations in London - and it's (almost) all about beauty. (Unless you count the Apple Store. Which we do, really.)

Following in the high-heeled footsteps of Chanel, Dior (it's right beside them) and Miller Harris is this new 'Beauty Box' from Burberry - a proper beauty playground where you can check out exclusive make-up collections, have a one-on-one tutorial and enjoy a manicure at the nail bar.  But not just any old manicure: first, you get to digitally 'try on' new colours, through computer technology.

In fact, the whole thing's rather like an extension of the Apple Store, with iPads and iPhones for payment (what else would we expect, since ex-Burberry boss Angela Ahrendts has moved to Apple…?)  You can also spritz and spray your way through Burberry's stunning fragrance portfolio, allowing the fragrances time to develop on your skin while you play with the make-up. (Alternatively, book a 'Fragrance Discovery' appointment to explore your scent personality…)

This is beauty at its most high-tech:  you can also order beauty products right after they've debuted in Burberry's seasonal ready-to-wear shows. And as if that wasn't enough, look out for fashion accessories exclusive to the Beauty Box.
