ishga Muscle Recovery Oil
So this pitches itself as something for ‘muscle recovery’. Come the season for attacking the herbaceous borders, or when we hit the gym again, it might well prove useful for that, but we are really recommending this divine product as a ‘Mind Recovery Oil’, instead, because of the benefits we’ve enjoyed from it’s aromatherapeutic blend.
We’ve praised ishga products before: a Scottish brand, which harnesses the power of wild Hebridean seaweed across their product line. (See a fairly recent review of their mermaid-y seaweed bath, here.) Well, this is new, and this is lovely: a base blend based around jojoba, thistle and almond oils, together with seaweed extract, which instantly transforms parched skin, rendering it gleaming and nourished-looking.
It’s the smell that got us from the get-go, though – a properly powerful blend of eucalyptus, peppermint, rose geranium and May Chang oils, designed to ease muscles and joints, but for us, proving very effective mentally in a sort of adaptogenic way, waking us up while also calming us down.
With life about to ramp up again, we might just decant a little bit from the bottle into something we can use at our desks, mid-afternoon – for tackling post-summer dry skin, and do-we-really-have-to-go-back-to-work? sluggishness, at the same time.
