Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Nail Polish

Sometimes, we find the products we feature here via press releases that land on our desks. Quite often, they catch our eye when we’re having a scout around stores, that being something we still love to do to ensure our fingers are on the retail pulse. But in the case of this week’s affordable buy, it was nestling in the bottom of a goodie bag given out to attendees at this year’s CEW Achiever Awards, at The Rosewood Hotel. Bingo!

This is Sally Hansen’s foray into plant-based, vegan formulas – but the quality’s just what you’d expect from these nail experts: shiny, smooth, with a great brush, and excellent staying power (up to seven days, they promise, and it’s definitely not far off that).

Botanical ingredients include bamboo and an ultra-nourishing marine algae, and the formula’s designed to boost nail strength and health, with regular use. There’s an absolutely awesome shade spectrum, though – 51 of them! – spanning ballerina pink to navy blue. 240 Golden Quartz is a shimmering copper that got us through the party season, and now we’ve moved on to 330 Beet It (below), which has more than a little of the Rouge Noir about it, and looks particularly good on neat, short nails.

And you absolutely don’t have to be vegan to love these…
