Beauty Bible's Weekend Steal: P.Louise Base (for eyes)
We like anything that will make our eyeshadow last longer. But we especially like something that is pleasingly affordable and makes our eyeshadow last longer. (Eyes, of course, being an important element of make-up during these masked-up times – and we honestly do still make an effort to do ours. Standards, y’know. Standards! It’s like not sitting around in our PJs, all day…)
Anyway, this little tube of wonder – from a young and dynamic make-up artist with her own make-up school, in Manchester (and, we were somewhat staggered to find out, a 1.2 million Instagram following here) – really does help make-up to stay put, while evening out skintone. (Her style of make-up isn’t perhaps terribly ‘Beauty Bible’ – but that doesn’t detract from a great product.)
Encouragingly it comes in 11 shades spanning a very wide spectrum of skintones – see the line-up above – so you can certainly find your perfect match. (See how they look on skin, below.)
We’ve noticed a real difference between non-P.Louise Base days, and those when we add in this simple little step. And it’s definitely a step UP from using your usual concealer for that task.
At a tenner, we think that’s pretty affordable – but for professional make-up artists, the entire ‘Vault’ of colours is on offer here for £90.
