Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: M&S Calm Apothecary

Oh, this is QUITE a find. We first stumbled upon this at a recent press open day, and immediately went out and bought several of the products. (Since we are blessed to be given many free products to try, it is particularly notable when we are moved to splash our cash on a range.)

Calm Apothecary is a beautiful-looking, soothingly-scented collection from good old high street stalwart M&S (who are rather on form at the moment, we think). The range is quite large, covering home fragrance – Beauty Bible's Georgia Wellard is a massive fan of the lavender-all-the-way Calm Room Spray – as well as bath and body. Here are some other favourites, from the range...

Calm Apothecary Bath Salts/£7.50 for 300g. A lovely cork-stoppered jar containing restorative marine salts, infused with the grounding scent of lavender, sweet orange, cedarwood and clary sage essential oils.

Calm Apothecary Body Butter/£8.50 for 200ml. A generous jar featuring a lush, nourishing whipped crème, softening skin while veiling it in sense-soothing clary sage, lavender and sweet orange.

Calm Apothecary Bath Oil/£8.50 for 230ml. M&S maintain you just need a few drops of this; we reckon more is more and a good glug does it for us. Scented, again, with lavender, sweet orange, clary sage and cedarwood. (Note: this has a mineral oil base, so in the interests of transparency, we want to flag up that it's not a natural product. That matters to some of you, but not to others.)

Even more interestingly, for us, a couple of the products (Bath Salts, Hand Wash) are refillable, so the hefty glass apothecary-style bottles needn't be sent to landfill. (We've a hunch that if this range is a hit, they'll add more refills to the line-up.)

There are some great gifts in the range – a nice but not budget-breaking treat for someone you know who could use a little calm in their life, at the mo.
