Beauty Bible Loves... Weleda Skin Food Ultra-Light Dry Oil
Whaddya know. No sooner do we rave about Weleda’s Skin Food newness – a Fab Find of the Week, here – than they unveil something else rather wonderful in that range. For bodies, this time.
Very timely it is, too, because thanks to the heatwave, bits of us have been on show. Legs, arms, shoulders… Such a joy, after so many months in vests and layers!
However, even when you lavish moisture-powered TLC on dry limbs, last thing at night, it can still appear a bit papery by morning. (It’s an age thing. If it ain’t happening to you, count your beauty blessing.)
So the instant answer whenever limbs need to look glowy and nourished is now to reach for this. (We duly keep it on the bedside, for spritzing before we get dressed.) It couldn’t be easier or nicer to use: a fine mist of dry oil which massages in super-fast, delivering its cargo to leave skin gleaming and soft.
It’s a ‘dual-phase’ (shake-before-use) product – a formulation style more common to eye make-up removers, to mix the oil and water elements. In the oil department, we have sunflower and jojoba oils. The watery phase, meanwhile, is powered by extracts of pansy, organic rosemary, chamomile and calendula (the latter pair renowned for their soothing effects).
Weleda Skin Food Ultra-Light Body Oil spritzes on like water, sinks in, in a flash – and feels completely weightless. Yet there’s that gleam and softness, straight away. (Weleda also tell us that it can do double duty as a glowifying facial treatment, if you spray a little into your hands and smooth into the face.)
We like to rinse palms, after use – but overall, this is ultra-light, and ultra-useful.
