VOYA Seaweed Eye Patches

We love eye patches. What we don’t always love about them is not knowing what to do with them, once they’ve worked their skin-plumping magic. Generally, we don’t feel happy popping them into the compost bin, because of the ingredients or the jelly-like texture which is made of… who knows what?

Enter a completely biodegradeable and fabulous innovation. Very cleverly, Irish seaweed brand VOYA have created a process whereby they take Laminaria Ditigata seaweed – nothing more – and shape and mould it so that when soaked in water, it softens up to become the perfect, ergonomically-shaped eye-reviving mask.

Cooling, soothing, plumping, designed to tackle dark circles and puffiness, with VOYA having scientific studies to show that it boosts collagen production by 202%. And because they’re made of 100% seaweed, entirely compostable.

In fact, because they’re seaweed, we’re cutting out the middle bin and tucking them around the stems of tomatoes, in the greenhouse, for on the spot nourishment!

A little soon to tell whether they’re good for tomatoes. But we’re loving what they do for our eyes…
