VOYA Indulgent Sea Marine Bath Salts
So, top of Beauty Bible’s bucket-and-spade list is a visit to VOYA’s seaweed Bathhouse in Sligo, in the beautiful, windswept west of Ireland. As we learned last week at a beautiful event to launch the two products we’re showcasing today, the family behind this spa brand – now enjoyed in 50 countries globally – have been sustainably harvesting and selling seaweed from the seas along this stretch of coast for 100 years.
That trip is very much still in the planning stage, but meanwhile, we can of course recreate the experience via VOYA’s bestselling product, their Lazy Days Detoxing Seaweed Bath/£22 – literally, chunky ribbons fresh, dried seaweed which you infuse into bath water. (It can be reused up to three times, and your garden or compost will LOVE it, when you’re done soaking.)
That signature product is their bestseller – but it’s been joined by a heavenly ‘sister’ product, the Indulgent Sea Marine Bath Salts. They are infused not only with zingy, sense-refreshing mandarin and lime, but also particles of mineral-rich, wild Ferrucus serratus seaweed, freckled into the triple-whammy of salts: Epsom salts, Himalayan pink rock salt and Achill Island sea salts, from the coast of County Mayo, to revive and detoxify. (The marine algae means that the blend isn’t at all drying to skin – quite the opposite.)
Simply lie back and dream of… Ireland, in our case.
