Truthpaste

Who needs a toothpaste tube ANYWAY? Truthpaste is proof that you really, really don’t. Their excellent toothpastes come in glass jars with aluminium lids, which can be recycled easily. (Contaminated plastic – i.e. toothpaste tubes – is usually rejected by recycling plants. Which is why you should always clean out your food packaging before recycling, too.)

There are many different flavours of Truthpaste, just a couple of which we’ve tried. (Bought it for ourselves.) If you like the licorice qualities of fennel (we do), we think you’ll love the ultra-fennel-y Fennel flavour. There’s also a powerful Peppermint & Wintergreen flavour. And while it takes some getting used to – black toothpaste, anyone? – we really like the brightening effect of the charcoal toothpaste, in particular the Fennel & Orange. There are special mild flavours for kids, too.

Conveniently for travelling, Truthpaste also comes in a cute little 15ml tin – see below, for just £3.79 – so you don’t have to lug around a jar on your travels. (Well, in anticipation of travels…)

The whole range is free from fluoride, palm oil, SLS, triclosan, glycerine, titanium dioxide and gluten.

And free from plastic packaging, of course.

£8.99 for 100ml – buy here
