Thalgo Salt Flake Scrub
A little of this Thalgo Salt Flake Scrub goes a surprisingly long way – which is probably just as well, because it’s a tad more expensive than we’d realised. (So if you’re on a budget, keep your eyes peeled for tomorrow’s Beauty Bible Loves – featuring a whole raft of total ‘steals’.
But in the absence of being able to go to a spa or a salon for a while yet (when they do open, they’ll be overwhelmed with bookings), this is an absolutely wonderful product for that at-home spa experience.
Dispensed via a flip-top is a fairly loose emulsion in which salt flakes are suspended. (According to Thalgo, it features ‘micro-flakes of three exfoliating salts and cryo-extract of boreal algae.’) It certainly does an absolutely fabulous job of sloughing away dead cells on upper arms, knees, heels – anywhere that’s looking a little dull and sluggish right now.
The scent is fab – Thalgo tell us this range is ‘inspired by five oceans’, and there’s a definite ozonic saltiness, along with some subtle floral notes.
All in all a total treat for skin – and nostrils – at a slightly splurge-y price, in the current climate.
