Tata Harper Sensitive skincare
We well remember sitting down with Tata Harper herself when she launched her first capsule, sorta ‘from-the-farm’ natural skincare collection in the UK. It’s now hugely successful globally, one of the brands to prove that botanical skincare can have a proper luxury factor, too, and stocked by spiffy sites like Net-A-Porter, Selfridges, Cult Beauty etc.
The range has expanded massively since then, and while we’ve never had a problem with any of the formulas we’ve tried (and have fairly touchy complexions, at Beauty Bible), we definitely welcome this lovely new collection targeting sensitive skins, working to nurture skin’s barrier function. (The ‘buzz’ in beauty right now, and frankly a welcome relief – in every way – after the focus on peels and acids, over the past few years.)
In the line-up…
Super kind Softening Cleanser/£75 for 30ml – gentle, make-up melting, foaming ever-so-slightly when you add a touch of water, but not drying in the least. It features what Tata Harper call their ‘counter-stress’ complex.
Fortifying Moisturiser/£104 for 50ml. Key word, there: ‘fortifying’, thanks to ‘microalgae peptides’, with rose of Jericho targeting weak, damaged skin. This is honestly a hug in a jar.
Radiance Mask for Sensitized Skin/£57 for 30ml. ‘Dissolves dullness without over exfoliating skin,’ they promise – but this definitely has a glow-boosting action, without triggering touchiness. Although there are AHAs in their – described as ‘self-neutralising’ – it deeply quenches skin, rebalancing the natural micro biome with calendula, glycerine, chamomile and passion flower oils, among other botanicals.
So, gently does it…
