Beauty Bible Loves... SuperNAD Sheet Mask

Sometimes, for a skin S.O.S., when a surge of moisture is urgently required, nothing but a sheet mask does the trick. But… that mask has to be 100% biodegradeable, for it to tick our box. (And not all of them are, by a long chalk.)

What caught our attention with this Invity mask, then, is the material it’s made from: upcycled banana skin, which means it’ll completely break down (ideally, in a compost heap, which is where ours go). But it’s the performance which went on to impress us: a serious mega-dose of hydration, from the serum infused into the mask.

Invity is a high-tech Singapore brand who, we’re told, are creators of the ‘needle-free, anti-wrinkle Instant Filler’, of which one is sold every three minutes. (Look forward to trying that.) In Invity SuperNAD Youth Activating Facial Sheet Mask, they’ve harnessed several advanced technologies and high-tech ingredients here, alongside powerful plant actives including White Snow Tea ‘to activate up to 80% of your cellular energy’ (we reckon that’s PR-speak for brightening skin).

Effects matter more than the science, sometimes, and what we can report is that skin is indeed brighter after 10-15 minutes – not at all red, but with a clarity. Plus that moisture dose is impressive; we could almost feel skin drinking up the hydration, and could certainly see a plumpness and a more energised look, after just that short time. (Ideally spent obeying orders to ‘relax’ while it’s in place – not that the sheet mask is going to slide off your face, but we always do take instructions like that as a nudge to slow down a little, ideally horizontally.)

Do NOT waste any serum that’s left in the packaging (and there’s a lot). Instead, massage it in to arms and even legs, as we did – it goes a surprisingly long way, and limbs felt very grateful for the moisturisation. (NB We also ‘locked in’ the quenching effects of the mask by layering a favourite facial oil over the top.)

Not something we’d necessarily too often (that’d be a bit bank-breaking, for a start) – but a quick and effective fix for when skin’s feeling parched. (To which end, we’ll definitely have this on standby when the central heating goes on.
