REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream

Today is World Recycling Day – although we’re betting that you didn’t hear much about that, amidst the other news.

So we’d like to give REN a pat on the back for repackaging their bestselling Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream in an ‘infinity recycling pack’. What that means is that it’s been created with certified recycled plastic, made through a ground-breaking recycling technology (from a company called SABIC) that can recycle mixed plastic waste that would otherwise head straight for landfill or incineration. The result, amazingly, is rally like virgin plastic – no loss in quality whatsoever, which means no petroleum required in production. It really is very clever indeed.

As for the cream itself? It’s a longstanding favourite natural moisturiser for many women we know: soothing, calming, nourishing and – well, lovely. Also helping to shield against pollutants, it offers the softening power of seabuckthorn oil, omega-rich blackcurrant seed oil’s soothing powers, blended into a delicious light cream, dispensed via an (infinity-recycled) pump, for convenience.

Gold – or maybe green – star for this, REN.
