Beauty Bible Loves... Nursem Caring Skin Fix
This could not have landed on our desks at a better time, as skin begins its process of winter dessication – and with it, comes the itching. But ah, with Nursem Caring Skin Fix, relief is at hand. (Or elbow. Or – in Jo’s case – her shoulders, which start itching infernally the minute she gets undressed.)
Nursem has been around a few years, kicking off with a hand product (which we raved about in the past). As we explained around the time Nursem launched, ‘Nursem was founded by Antonia Philp, a paediatric nurse who often came home with sore, cracked and bleeding hands as a result of the constant sanitising of hands. (In 2011, this became so bad that she had to take a week off work.)
She and her husband Jonny came up with the idea for a formula that was something nurses could use repeatedly throughout a busy shift, which was naturally protective and free from harsh chemicals. Their Nursem range took seven years of work, but they now offer gently protective skincare formulas for all of our hard-working hands.’
Ironically, that piece appeared just before we went into lockdown, when you didn’t have to be a nurse to suffer from the effects of hand sanitisers.
This is a revved-up dry skin treatment that goes beyond mere hand care, though. Naturally-derived – unlike so many dry skin treatments, which are petroleum-based, it’s suitable for anyone with dermatitis, eczema and other dry skin conditions, a rich-but-not-greasy blend of shea butter, avocado oil and glycerine, which helps the skin’s barrier while offering blessed instant relief.
We’re so pleased – and honestly grateful – to have Nursem Caring Skin Fix in our skincare arsenal, from here on in.
