My Olivanna
Oh, it is just FAB to have a new skincare line to recommend to younger beauty-hounds. One that is gentle, natural – and certainly WON’T take off your nail polish, as some harsh toners aimed at teen skins actually do.
My Olivanna is a sub-range from Olivanna, a Beauty Bible Award-winning brand founded by Janine Summers, who actually developed the range ‘to empower and inspire women’ – starting with her own daughters. (Quite the role model, if you ask us.)
What we love about it is that it keeps things simple. Which is really the best thing you can do to ‘unpredictable’ skin, which – as My Olivanna observe – can be clear one day, spotty and misbehaving the next. This range, then, offers a straightforward routine that is effective, but doesn’t add to the turmoil.
Suitable for ages 11+, the range includes the following…
Pineapple Milky Cleanser/£23 for 150ml. With pineapple enzymes to brighten, and willow bark extract to keep pores clean.
Strawberry Seed Moisturiser/£26 for 50ml. Lightweight, packed with skin-quenching hyaluronic acid, willow bark extract and strawberry seed oil, which nourishes and protects, being rich in antioxidants.
Eye Cream/£24 for 15ml. Not too rich, not too greasy, but with a soothing, de-puffing blend of green tea and elderflower extracts, plus good old HA.
Apple AHA Foam Wash/£23 for 150ml. Reckon they’ll love using this: gently foaming, with a mix of AHAs to de-clog pores and brighten.
T-Zone Stick/£16. The natural, skin-friendly alternative to those paint-stripper toners of which teens are so fond: a mattifying stick that takes the shine down via tapioca starch, but offers nourishment at the same time.
Exam & Study Multivitamins/£18 for 60 gummies. Such a clever inclusion in the line: yummy gummies featuring vitamin B12 to help with stress and fatigue, B5 for memory, and zinc for cognitive function. (To be doled out, two per day – otherwise they’ll be wolfed like sweeties, we reckon!)
