Beauty Bible Loves... MAHSA Probiotic Toothpaste (Rosemary & Thyme)

Eventually, all areas of our beauty regime get pimped in some way. It happened with shampoo. Now it’s happening with toothpaste, and in some rather exciting ways. Frankly, anything that actively makes us want to spend time looking after our teeth has to be a good thing, and after encountering the MAHSA oral care range at John Bell & Croyden’s open day (they stock the full range, we’ve made a positive switch.

MAHSA is named after Dr. Mahsa Najati, who, with her husband Dr. Brandon Nejati, is one of the dentist co-founders of the Nejati Clinic, a dental destination in Belgravia which frankly looks more like a luxury spa than a dentist’s surgery, and whose mission for their holistic dental practice is ‘to see the mouth as an integral part of whole body health,’ treating the whole patient.

We can’t report back on what goes on aat their mouth mecca, having not visited in person, but we can recount that this is the nicest toothpaste we’ve ever tried. Don’t take this the wrong way, but if Cleanse & Polish was a toothpaste, it’d be just like this – because it’s deep cleansing, and has something of the same scent, with its aromatic rosemary and thyme ingredients, which have a long tradition of being used to fight infections.

It’s honestly delicious. Which is a good thing, because they recommend that for maximum benefits, you don’t rinse this clear toothpaste away, but to spit out any excess, otherwise you’ll just remove the concentrated active anti-bacterial and probiotic ingredients. Can’t quite manage to do that, TBH, but instead have been rinsing with just a touch of water. Teeth are clean, though, and at last visit to the dentist, good marks were issued for gum health.

MAHSA’s looks like no toothpaste we’ve ever seen, either – more like the packaging of a serum. (Do not confuse them, in a dimly-lit bathroom.) We truly hope that in due course, there’ll be refills for the Perspex bottles – MAHSA need to work on this, though we do like the fact that you can see exactly how much is left (and the level is going down V-E-R-Y slowly, despite diligent use); maybe by the time we get to the end of it, they’ll have figured that out.

Otherwise, very smile-making. In every way.
