Beauty Bible Loves... Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mascara
Another day, another female founder – and what a babe. We go back with Lisa Eldridge for too many years to count, and have long admired everything she’s done, from books to TV series (an achievement in itself to get TV bods to take make-up seriously!), through to launching her own brand.
Within her make-up line, pretty much every new launch has been a swift sell-out – so we’re hoping that when you read our review of this stellar new mascara, there are still some wands left on the shelves. Otherwise? Honestly, it’s worth joining the waiting list. (Do read our review of some of Lisa’s existing range in our Fab Find of the Week coverage, here.)
We are super-picky about mascaras. In Jo’s case, we also have ‘challenging’ lashes, which many wands simply skate right off without depositing a speck of product. This, with its curved, grippy wand, sweeps right through from root to tip, depositing enough – but not too much – product. (We’ve trialled some mascaras lately which have left lashes ‘globby’ – um, not an official term but you know what we mean – resulting in panicky scrabbling round for a Q-Tip to take some product off again.)
This formula is buildable without caking, and that brilliant wand can also be used to ‘lift’ lashes, holding them in place to ‘set’ them, to eye-widening effect.
Our Liquid Eyeliner Correspondent (yes, we have one) will be trialling the liquid liner that can be paired with this – for the true ‘kitten-flick’ effect – and we’ll report back.
Meanwhile? We’re positively purring over this, Ms. Eldridge.
