KYUSHI Cleansing Oil

We’ve written and raved about KYUSHI oils before, and are admirers of their founder, Alice Moore. (You can read her 7 Secrets of Wellbeing, here.)

Now, to add to the line-up, there is – but of course! – a cleansing oil, rapidly becoming a very important beauty category. Here’s why: if you haven’t tried one, cleansing oils may be a teensy bit of a revelation. They are just brilliant for melting and magnetising make-up and dirt – plus anything you do to massage your face (which an oil invites, probably more than any other style of cleanser) is A Very Good Thing.

KYUSHI Organic Cleansing Oil is (as the name suggests) 100% organic, is non-comedogenic (meaning non-pore-blocking), anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory. Oily-skinned readers always have to keep the faith here, but it really does work for combi and oily complexions, without over-loading skin. It also works on make-up – although with any cleansing oil, our favoured technique is to wet a cotton pad and add a touch of oil, for an instant ‘dual-phase’ eye make-up remover.

If you feel like dialling up the experience of cleansing with the oil, Alice has also collaborated with founder of In Praise of the Fold, Georgia Dorey (who’s designed for Kenzo and Anthropologie, among others) to create some incredibly pretty (though we must acknowledge also pretty pricy) cleansing cloths.

As the tag on the cloths says, ‘Pause. Breathe.’ Good advice for end-of-day, when our cleansing routine can become a moment of self-care that swishes away the cares of the day, as well as dirt and grime.
