B*stards!!!!!!

That is the typical response to opening a cupboard or a drawer, to discover that clothes moths have devoured (or even nibbled) your favourite knitwear. (Possibly followed by tears, if it’s a particularly sentimental cardie or scarf.)

You think you’re being diligent, then you turn your back on your woollies for what seems like no time, only to discover that the blighters have played Grandmother’s Footsteps and turned woollens into… well, lace. So, we are always on the hunt for new ways to keep clothes moths at bay – especially if they smell fabulous.

We would honestly use the Roadscents Kate Moth scented drawer liners and wardrobe sachets for their smell alone. And being completely transparent, here, we haven’t properly put them through their paces, having only recently kitted out our closets and chests of drawers with these moth-deterrent creations, which are the brainchild of entrepreneurial former Tatler editor Tina Gaudoin (also one of the co-founders of Triyoga, in London). However, we know several people who absolutely swear by them, and (combined with the fab fragrance), that’s enough for us.

These aren’t ‘killers’ – they’re deterrents. So the Roadscents Kate Moth Drawer Liners and are infused strongly with a blend of natural oils that moths really don’t like: mint, lavender, rosemary, cedarwood, bergamot and thyme. And we just LOVE the scent: herby, aromatic, really quote potent. (To be honest, we’d probably wear this as a spray-on perfume, if it came in that format.)

Realistically, if you direct moths elsewhere, they’ll probably take up residence in another room, so it still pays to be vigilant. (Or drive the b*stards out by kitting out everywhere you store woollens, cashmeres or feather items – they go for feathers, too – with some Kate Moth.

Alternatively…? You could just buy these for the brilliant name…!
