Albiva Hydration Booster
At certain times of the year, a favourite moisturiser may be enough to keep your skin happy. At others (um, like now), you might try ‘double-moisturising’. There’s a third scenario, though: adding into your regime a moisturising ‘booster’ product, which deeply quenches skin, making it feel more comfortable, look more dewy. And ‘boosters’ are most definitely a thing, in the beauty universe.
Albiva is a gorgeous brand offering sustainable, luxury skincare that you might be familiar with, if you’re a regular reader; we covered them here. (They also scooped a Beauty Bible Award, in the past.) Albiva don’t launch new products that often, which makes it notable when they do – and this has been the answer to a thirsty-complexioned prayer, in particular over the past few weeks.
Unsurprisingly, a key ingredient in this ‘booster’ is hyaluronic acid – not just one type, but two. The first penetrates deeper, helping to target production of wrinkles, while the larger molecules plump up the skin’s surface. HA features alongside anti-inflammatory immortelle, red algae extract, allantoin and vitamin E (the latter supporting skin’s barrier – about which there’s a real buzz, at the moment). As with all the range,
Albiva Hydration Booster isn’t cheap – but with simpler packaging (the original range is showcased in beautiful wooden containers), it’s a more accessible way to check out the range.
Which would be a boost for your skin – and a nice boost for this start-up, too.
