Christmas Gift Guide Part 2: £20-£50

Sisters, friends, daughters or all-round good eggs. As ever, our criteria for choosing gifts for our annual Beauty Bible Gift Guides is: ‘Would we be happy to receive this ourselves…?’ Answer, with any of the below: yes, yes, yes. (Note to own family: do feel free to take this as a hint!)

Bamford Geranium Christmas Gift (main image above)

We are massive fans of this range, showcased here as a Soil Association-certified duo of Body Wash & Body Cream, the latter of which ticks all our boxes: sinks in fast, isn’t sticky but IS instantly nourishing, with that wonderful, aromatic geranium scent. (We are as obsessed with scented geraniums as founder Carole Bamford.) This stuff’s so good, it’s the annual Christmas gift request from an entirely NON-beauty-minded friend in California, and we have to parcel it up and send out there!

Great for any sleep-deprived chum or relative.

Benefit’s brow products have consistently swept the board (as well as testers’ brows) in our Beauty Bible Awards, over the years; this is a great-value set, showcasing full sizes of the brow-taming/enhancing products that we swear by ourselves: the brilliant one-step Gimme Brow; Precisely, My Brow Pencil; and 24-Hour Brow Setter. There are four shades of this kit to choose from, so make sure you get the right one, but it’s amazing value because together, these would normally set you back £70.50. Such a cute tin, too!

Floris Rose Geranium Luxury Soaps (3 x 100g) (above)

Um, have you gathered yet that we love geranium…? Well, so do so many people we know. With an absolutely iconic scent, from heritage Jermyn Street fragrance boutique Floris (Marilyn Monroe used to order the bath oil in this fragrance, in large quantities), they really live up to the ‘luxury’ promise: properly long-lasting, not ever going squishy as so many soaps do; what we like to do with them before use is tuck the glassine paper-wrapped soaps in our knitwear and underwear drawers, where they impart their lovely fragrance.

This curated box focuses on perfumes to boost a sense your wellbeing, but also includes a full size of Weleda Skin Food Body Butter, a Beauty Bible Award-winner which never fails to impress, when people discover it for the first time. (This box is actually just £19 if you’re a Perfume Society V.I.P. Club member.)
