Just the easiest way for YOU to help Beauty Banks
Beauty Banks is one of the beauty industry’s proudest achievements – founded by renowned journalist Sali Hughes and dynamo PR Jo Jones, it has tapped into the amazing generosity of our industry to donate products via foodbanks and other support services to women, for whom (as they put it), ‘being clean is a basic human right, not a luxury or a privilege’.
Now they’d like to tap into YOUR generosity, in the very simplest way, via your nearest Superdrug store.
Donation bins have gone into 100 Superdrug stores nationwide, and the six products lined up above are all on Beauty Banks’s wishlist – personal care and hygiene essentials, all priced under a tenner. The idea is that you buy one or more of them at checkout (perhaps when you’re stocking up for something yourself – or make a special visit, which we plan to do), and then pop them in the bin.
• Superdrug Fruity Pineapple & Papaya Shower Gel (£1.69 – buy one get one free)
• Superdrug Crystal Roll On Deodorant (99p)
• Superdrug Luna Cotton Day Towel (now £1.97)
• Superdrug Extracts Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner (two for £5)
• Superdrug Antibacterial Hand Wash (now 68p)
Superdrug and Beauty Banks will then make sure they get to the women who really need them.
A wonderful way to mark International Women’s Day, we think. And we salute you, Beauty Banks. To read more about them, click below.
