OK, so what is a ‘pressed serum’? Well, first of all, Antonia Burrell Biotech Suprême Pressed Serum – from one of London’s leading superfacialists – does more than a regular serum, working to moisturise and prime skin for make-up as well as deliver its anti-ageing ingredients to their target.

Antonia tells us she’s spent five years working on this, to harness the latest plant science technology, bringing together active botanicals including white bird of paradise flower extract (for radiance), amaranth oil (packed with omegas 7 and 9), and poria cocos root extract – described as a ‘miracle fungus’, used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

As a serum, press two pumps into face and neck. For a moisturising/priming action, press three pumps into skin.

We won’t go into all the different ‘green’ technologies incorporated in this – suffice to say that Antonia doesn’t bring us innovations that often (this has been five years in perfecting). It’s said to boost collagen production by 102%, delivering visible results to all skintypes in seven days.

Our experience? Lovely to use, skin definitely more vibrant, smells nicely 'botanical' – and we really like how make-up glides on. In fact, we’re hard-pressed to find anything not to love about this…
