Exciting news:  the first-ever Festival of Fragrance is taking place at Selfridges from 2nd to 10th March, celebrating (as they put it) 'the special cross-generational relationship between mothers, daughters and grandmothers, and the memories the fragrances evoke'. What we really like is that each brand involved (including Chanel, Mugler, Guerlain, Dior, Creed etc.) will be donating £1 per fragrance sold to Look Good...Feel Better, to help this fantastic charity with their programme of makeovers at 65 hospitals and cancer centres across the UK, helping women who've undergone or are undergoing cancer treatment.

On Monday 4th March, a 'highlight' of the Festival is a very special out-of-hours shopping experience in the fragrance hall (a first for the store) and a 'fragrant dinner' at Hix, the fantastic mezzanine restaurant in the store.  Jo's honoured to have been chosen to be one of four fragrance experts to give a little talk at the dinner.  (The others are Persolaise, Odette Toilette - click on their names to read what we've written about them, on our site - and award-winning fragrance writer Vicci Bentley.)  No need to take your mum/grandma, but might be a nice idea...?
