Lipstick Queen Nothing But The Nudes

Something that sets us apart from many a beauty editor is that we're so, so not fans of nude lipsticks. Designed to make a face look 'polished', all too often – when the shades are wrong – they make you look washed-out and wan, instead. But the fah-bu-lous Poppy King – the 'Lipstick Queen' herself – has converted us with these lipsticks (or at least two out of three), since they have a little more pigment 'oomph' than most. They're also the most beautiful texture to apply, sweeping on comfily with a blend of hydrating nutrients, natural oils, waxes and vitamin E.

The shades we love are The Truth – a pretty, pinky-nude – and The Whole Truth, which is a more peach-toned nude. (We still haven't been converted by the beige nude, Nothing But The Truth.)

Who'd have thought we'd ever become nude-ists...? Not us. But we're always happy to be surprised.
